Ms. Botez is a Obie Award Winner, Henry Hewes Design Award Honoree, Princess Grace Recipient, NEA/TCG Career Development Program Recipient and NEA/TCG Round of Global Connections Program. Nominated for The Lucille Lortel Award, The Theatre Bay Area Awards, The Henry Hewes Design Awards, The Barrymore and Drammy Award. Oana also walked away recipient of The Barrymore and Drammy Award.

Ms. Botez is a graduate of Bucharest Art Academy (Romania) and received an MFA in Design from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. Ms. Botez was a major contributor for the first Romanian theater design catalogue, called Scenografica. Ms. Botez has been teaching costume design at Colgate College, Brooklyn College, and MIT.
