Amanda Blackman

Lecturer in Theater Management

Amanda Blackman is the Chief Strategy Officer of AKA US, a full-service advertising agency specializing in theater, arts and culture, attractions, and entertainment.

At AKA, she has had the honor of working across nearly 100 shows, including Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, & Juliet, Come From Away, The Inheritance, Once on This Island and Parade. She also oversees institutions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, attractions like American Dream, and teams like The NY Red Bulls.

Prior to AKA, Amanda spent 15 years in experiential marketing and enjoyed a three-year stint as Managing Director of Famous Door Theatre in Chicago. She holds an MFA in Theater Management from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale and serves as a Board Member for the Marketing Committee of Themed Entertainment Association.
